Our mission is to empower children in Uganda and instill in them a life-long love of learning by:
PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES & TRAINING:
We establish school libraries and donate locally sourced textbooks and reading books, giving thousands of children access to fundamental educational resources. Both public and private schools throughout Uganda often lack sufficient classrooms, desks, and chalkboards to support their student enrollment. Basic school supplies are scarce and often too expensive to replace when lost or broken. We partner with schools to assess needs and then engage the school community and our networks of donors to provide these essential items. |
FOSTERING COOPERATION WITHIN SCHOOLS & COMMUNITIES:
We work with teachers, headmasters, parents, and community leaders in Uganda, to share ideas and build lasting networks. We believe that increasing the quality of, and accessibility to, education is a partnership that unites communities and gives hope to the writers, builders, doctors, artists, and economists of Uganda’s future. Helping one student can change the course of his or her family, community and nation. |
ENCOURAGING CHILDREN TO DREAM BIG:
We teach concepts about setting and achieving goals. We plan and promote learning activities and games that expand imagination and independent thinking skills and increase confidence. Many Ugandan children leave school by the seventh grade and go to work to help provide food and resources for their families. Our dream is that all Ugandan children complete their entire pre-college schooling, and we do this by building, networking, supporting, encouraging, and empowering, Uganda’s children, families and communities. |
"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." (Nelson Mandela)
